2lbs 8oz Chub from the River Stour.

This is the first ever Chub I caught it was a couple of days before the end of the 99-2000 season. I caught it on a simple trotting rig using a stick float the current is not to strong using double red maggots to a size 16 carbon Chub hook. Since then I have caught lots of small Chub and lost a number of Chub that may have been near the size of that one but am yet to catch my target of a 3 pounder. |

Here are couple of Chub I caught on my third trip to the river and since then I have caught loads of Chub but none of them have been to the size of the one above but hopefully I will catch a bigger one when the rivers open for fishing again on June 16th. |
