This was my old Personal best and club record at the time it weighed 6lbs 8oz and it won me three trophies, one off which was for the best specimen fish of the season for 1998-1999. I caught the fish on the first day of the season in the swim that every one else had ignored and as it was the only swim that was left, it was caught on float fished double red maggot, fished next to an over hanging tree. I also caught several other fish that day which included a linear carp of 13lbs 8oz on carp tackle I also caught a small jack pike and a few small roach and rudd before I caught the big tench |

| This a picture of one of the the best days fishing I have ever had it is part of a 70lb plus catch of Tench and Bream.They were the first two fish I caught at the start of the session along with another 3 Tench and 9 Bream that I caught during the day, They all fell to a groundbait feeder using worm and maggot for bait. This is how I claimed my Mission Accomplished Badge for 50lb plus bag of fish for the improve your course fishing competition. | |
