We couldn't resist this old (circa late 1940's, early 1950's) radio we spotted in a Colchester charity shop in July 2000.

In need of a good clean, we quickly set to and removed the old paint and stains, cleaned the valve contacts and added an external aerial.

Much to our surprise, it worked first time. A beautiful rich deep sound that only valves can make.
