Michael. Left school in Leeds at 17 to become a manager with Tesco. Didn't get on too well with them, so left to run my own mobile discotheque business. Ran Mike Edwards Mobile Discotheques successfully for 16 years to 1986 before selling out to a hotel company. Two years later they went into liquidation, proving there's more to running a disco than lights and noise.
Much of the sound equipment we used was way ahead of its time and developed specially by John at M-Jay Electronics. Despite its thousands of times being set up and taken down, I can only remember it ever failing twice.
Throughout this period, I played at hundreds of engagements and weddings, thousands of parties and clubs too numerous to even think of.
Met Stella in October 1975 and married 6 mths later on 21 April 1976 and we're still very happily together and celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in 2001.
Left BT October 2001 after 25 years. Currently looking for new challenges.
Interests. Football (Colchester and Leeds). Rugby League (Leeds Rhinos). Cricket (who else but Yorkshire). My pond. Fishing (though not as much as Paul).
Ambitions. Looking for rural property(s) with a lake in France to run as a Gite when we retire some time in 2003/4.
